Currently, we are on our revised research trip. It was revised because of poor road conditions and early rains in the far south-western area of Tanzania.
Tonight we find ourselves on the eastern side of Tanzania.
Please pray that we get reliable information. Already we have had conflicting information about a particular people group.
We are traveling with a Ready Reserve couple who formerly served in Kenya as well as other parts of East Africa.
Pray for safety and good health as well as a hold on the rains for a time while we are here and as we move through Tanzania.
Western Tanzania -- a research trip
“I am sending you to them to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.”
Acts 26:17b-18
In Acts 26 Paul gives witness to his encounter with the Living God and his commission from Christ.
We are making another research trip. There is much we don’t know about the people groups living on the western side of Tanzania; so we will be taking a few weeks to research this area, finding out the where we need to go with the gospel of Christ.
This time out we have a couple joining us from the ranks of the Ready Reserve. Ready Reserve is a unique group of missionaries, retired from the field, returning for short periods of time, usually to areas where they have previously served, as they hear the call of God; to share their experience, helping in whatever capacity they can. They have the language and cultural knowledge and are a great addition to current IMB field personnel.
So, we will be out of pocket for a few weeks. We will try to continue our weekly updates, but know that if we are a bit late, it is because we find ourselves out in the middle of nowhere in Tanzania, probably surrounded by many with a hunger for a word from the Lord.
How you can join us in the effort --
*Pray as we travel forth, that God would continue to guide our steps.
*Pray that God would put people of peace in our path helping us gain knowledge about the various people groups along the western side of Tanzania.
*Pray for safety on the roads.
*Pray that the light of Christ would shine through us, that as we have opportunities of witness we would speak truth and glorify God.

Each little spot and number represent a possible unreached and unengaged group. |
